ByteDance says the model's core strength here is precise spatial grounding and regional semantics: it understands exactly which part of the image you mean, which unlocks pixel-level interactive editing driven by pointing, lassoing, and sketched annotations rather than prompt gymnastics.

The most unusual capability is intelligent layer separation. From a text description, the model can split a finished image into more than 10 independent layers, text, subjects, backgrounds, and decorations, exported with transparency while automatically inpainting whatever the removed layer had hidden.
