About Remove Background
Remove Background is Recraft's subject-isolation utility: it segments the main subject of an image and returns a cutout on a transparent background, ready to layer into designs, mockups, or video. Recraft's documentation says the tool is tuned in particular for AI-generated images, and positions it as more effective on that material than the removal features built into most other image generators. It pairs with a Change Background tool that fills the cleared area with an AI-generated scene from a text prompt.
