Wan 2.6 (I2V) is the image-to-video model in Alibaba's Wan 2.6 series, announced on December 16, 2025 as one of five upgraded models in the release. It animates a still image into a video clip directed by a text prompt, and like the rest of the 2.6 generation it produces synchronized audio in the same pass. Alibaba describes the series as gaining better instruction following, stronger audio-visual synchronization, and multi-shot storytelling that holds visual consistency across cuts.
