## About Kling Avatar Standard

Kling Avatar Standard is the standard tier of Kling AI Avatar, Kuaishou's talking-avatar system: give it a character image and an audio track, and it produces a video of that character speaking, singing, or rapping the audio with synchronized lips, facial expression, and body movement. The Kling team published the underlying research in September 2025, and the Avatar 2.0 product update extended a single job to cover scenes up to five minutes long.

Artifio runs it in one workspace with more than 100 other models, billed per generation from a single wallet.

## Features

- Inputs are an avatar image, speech audio (uploaded or generated from text), and an optional prompt describing expressions and actions.
- Avatar 2.0 covers content scenes up to five minutes long in a single job.
- Multilingual speech support: English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
- The research system generates video at up to 1080p and 48 frames per second.
- A two-stage cascade design: a multimodal language model director plans a blueprint of the performance, then sub-clips are generated in parallel using a first-and-last-frame strategy.
- Punctuation in the speech text can be used to place natural pauses in delivery.

## What people use it for

- Presenter and explainer videos from a single portrait photo and a script.
- Singing and rap performances driven by an uploaded track.
- Animating stylized characters, illustrations, or animals as spokescharacters.
- Long-form talking content, such as multi-minute lectures or product walkthroughs, from one job.

## Reported strengths

- Kuaishou's evaluation on a 375-sample benchmark reports leading results in lip-sync accuracy, expressiveness, instruction control, and identity preservation.
- Cross-domain generalization: the system handles realistic humans and stylized or non-human characters.
- Hand movement stability is a documented focus of the 2.0 update.

## Reported limitations

- Kuaishou's own 2.0 technical report identifies temporal drift, quality degradation, and weaker prompt following in long videos as the persistent failure class its cascade design works against.
- Published evaluation results come from Kuaishou's own benchmark rather than independent testing.
- Speech support covers four languages, narrower than the five documented for the Kling Video 3.0 line.
- Expression and action steering runs through a text prompt; the user guide documents no finer-grained performance controls.
